We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Meetings & Events Sales Executive at the Telegraph Hotel, Coventry.
Located in the historic former premises of the Coventry Evening Telegraph, the Telegraph Hotel is set to open its doors in late 2020, in good time to celebrate the city’s status as a UK City of Culture in 2021.
An iconic building at the very heart of the city centre, the hotel evokes the famed mid-century 1950s architecture of Coventry and will be a reflection of its former life as a thriving newspaper and printer works.
It will feature 88 air-conditioned bedrooms, several of which will be duplex penthouse suites, as well as a stylish restaurant in a glazed courtyard, meeting, event and conference space, alongside a rooftop bar overlooking Belgrade Square.
As a Meeting & Events Sales Executive, you will be responsible for the day to day efficient management of the Meeting and Events department, in order to maximise occupancy, revenue and yield in line with company procedure.
The ideal candidate would work well under pressure with an accurate and consistent approach to customer service.
You must have excellent communication skills and have the confidence to liaise via telephone and in person.
At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position is required.
The successful candidate would be both resourceful, efficient, and with an outstanding eye for detail.
